Sign in Problem on Microsoft Solitaire Collection

Get message 'Sorry we can't sign you in. Try signing in at Xbox.com and restart this app'  I'm already signed in at Xbox.com but the app still won't sign me in.  Problem only in last 2 days.  Have had help from a 'webchat' with both windows and xbox but neither able to resolve problems.  Any help most welcome.  Thank you.  I am using an Acer laptop and Windows 8.1

I've been having the same issue for the past few days.  I am able to sign in at Xbox.com, but the app never is able to sign me in.
