The Xbox Live servers seem to be just fine for me.

If you happen to be seeing random disconnects when starting games and returning to the Dashboard, I'd encourage you to try this fix from Mister Joestar (all credit to him for the following write-up):

Lately we’ve seen an increase in users getting disconnected from Live when they start up a game or return to the dashboard. Even worse, this can happen even after you’ve gone through the standard troubleshooting with your  network. They’ll usually reconnect quickly enough with a Connection Test, but that doesn’t stop the disconnecting from happening. Luckily, the steps to really take care of this are quick and easy. Behold!

Step 1: Run the Live Connection Test

Usually the test will go through as normal but just to be sure, check the results in case there are any error codes or messages. In some cases, running the test alone can sort things!

Step 2: Clear the Console Cache

Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before; clearing the cache on the console won’t remove a Gamertag, DLC, game saves, or any dashboard updates. It will clear out some temporary files and game “title updates.” Those are the updates that get downloaded when a game starts up.

To clear the cache:

   Go to the Storage Menu

Press ‘Y’ on a storage device (not the cloud)

   Select “Clear System Cache”

   Confirm with “Yes”

That’s it! It only takes a second or two for the cache to clear.

Step 3: Re-download Profile

Next, your profile needs to be downloaded to the console again. To avoid even the possibility of losing something important, only download the profile. Do not delete the profile! Downloading a profile is done by going to the Sign In or Out Screen and going all the way to the right. Once the MSA and password (or two-factor code) is entered, the download will start.

Step 4: Restart the Console

This is another safety step. Err on the side of caution and give the console a little downtime.

Give those steps a try for starters.  Hopefully that will resolve your disconnecting issues.

All of that aside, as an Xbox Live Community Ambassador, I would also encourage you to reconsider the type of language used when posting here.  We are to be shining examples of proper behavior here in the Forums, on Xbox Live and anywhere else that we may be "representing" Microsoft and the Xbox and Xbox Live brand.  Although we are volunteers and not employees, there is still a level of decorum that we should ascribe to.

The first thing you might want to do is rest you system's  Internet settings back to factory then rest your router then see how it works, if problems still occur then call Xbox , cause since I rest mine no problems

You do realize that your problem has nothing to do with the update and all the servers are running just fine.  It's probably just a coincidence.  Maybe you should put a little more effort in to solving your problem instead of jumping ship so fast.  You'll probably have the same issues on PC anyways.

Agree with @xBL4CK L4NT3RNx.  The problem is most likely due to your ISP or your router/modem.
