Secure HDCP Link Not Found - This message has just appeared - This message has just appeared

Hello,

I have just statred getting the following message when I try to play a DVD or watch anything on SKY player, the message is 'Secure HDCP Link Not Found'.

This started yesterday. What I noticed was the following:

1) When I started the xbox there was no sound and the resolution was larger than normal.

I have searched on the web and the sound can be returned if I disable 'Display Discovery', but the Secure HDCP Link Not Found still persists.

The xbox has been happily playing DVDs and SKY films for months (years infact).

Please, does anyone know why and how I can resolve this?

Thanks

Bernard

Sounds like you may have a damaged HDMI cable, try changing that, if it is a Monster HDMI cable, they have a lifetime warranty and will replace the cable for you. The HDMI port on the television may be damaged, which can happen, I have seen it happen myself, try a different HDMI port and do not use a HDMI connector box that allows many HDMI connections to be put into one HDMI port.
