Search Mode for Xbox to find CPU?

Alright then! I currently have my old computer connected to my xbox but I would like to switch it to my new computer instead. Thing is, there is nothing showing me how to disconnect it so I can switch and it doesn't sense my other computer while connected to my first one. Is there a search mode I can activate so it can research for computers in the vicinity? And, if so, how do I turn it on?

Any help would be a blessing.

Hey there Fernasea! Can you clarify what your intentions are for connecting your console to your PC. Are you trying to connect your console to the internet through your PC, or are you trying to play media from your PC? Let me know, thanks!

I'm trying to play media from my PC. I already have a little wireless antennae for my console.

What version of Windows are you running on your new computer? Is it Windows 7? If it is Windows 7, you simply just need to enable Media Streaming on the computer, and add the media to the library of Windows Media Player.

The options should be similar In Vista and 7, Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre, and it should have a collection of options to do with file sharing and what not, look for something along the lines of windows media sharing or media streaming, and again add the media to your windows libraries and/or windows media player 11
