Scared

I have being hearing alot of stuff about people being banned from Xbox Live for Marketplace theft. I own 2 Xboxes (4GB Slim downstairs) (60GB HDD Pro in my room) So I often download Black ops map packs to my downstairs Xbox when I want a good quality T.V, I have been banned twice in the past for things I did 100% do and I admit I dseverved the ban for putting inappropriate stuff in my bio (first was 1 day second was 1 week) but will I get banned or is what i'm doing fine with Microsoft if I download content from one Xbox to another.

Thanks

What you are doing is fine.

The recent cases of being banned for Marketplace Theft is because people have been downloading profile from the web and using those to access DLC and games.

Microsoft can tell on what consoles an account has been used and what IP address is being used to connect to Live. So one profile on two consoles in the same household is not an issue.

What is the issue is when one profile is on hundreds of consoles the world over.

O.K that helped but i'm having a sleepover soon and both my friends have xbox live, so they are recovering their accounts to my xboxes. Will they get banned?

No, Microsoft are banning it on a large scale, what you're doing is perfectly fine.

No you're friends will not get banned if they recover their accounts onto your xbox, obviously.

My troll senses are tingling.

Sorry to thread hijack...but should I make a comment about Call of Duty being an 18+ game? Hmmm....anyway...i suppose it would depend if your friend redownload any DLC associated to their account on to your hard drive....could be against the TOU there

Actually the age ratings were never inforced google it boo yah! and to the guy above what could I troll about? If I wanted to troll i'd call my thread Modern warfare 3 sucks

yes they're not enforced online.... the one downfall of online gaming... although if you bought it from a store yourself...they're breaking the law... as would anyone who was over 18 who knowingly bought it for a minor... it's like if I went out and bought porn for my 7 year old son.. i'm sure there'd be uproar about that

Thats why when I walk into Gamestation they offer me to preorder modern warfare 3 or battlefield 3 and i'm 14 lol fail I don't think gamestation would break the law

Whats the matter? Cat got your keyboard?

Preordering isnt against the laws.

You probably use mammy and daddys hard earned cash.

If that's true then yes, Gamestation are breaking the law.
