Samsung HDMI Connection

Hi, My Xbox is connected via HDMI cable but it keeps showing on my TV as " no signal " . The Xbox is running and if I connect using component cables it works. The same HDMI cable works with my DVD player so I don't think it's that. Is there a setting that needs to be changed while using component and then re start using HDMI cable Thanks

I have two Samsungs and theres a few tricks to try. Sometimes I'll get a No Signal screen until the dashboard loads up (which seems to take longer if I get the No Signal screen), sometimes I'll get the 360 globe splash/start-up screen. I used to have to turn the 360 on, select the input and then restart the 360 to get a signal on my older Samsung. My two tvs won't list the HDMI input until the 360 is on as well, I can't even see the HDMI input until the 360 is on.

If you still have problems you may need to reset your display settings.  Make sure you have your console connected via HDMI. and do the following:

  1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
  2. Turn off the console.
  3. Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

  4. As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

Let us know how you get on.  Thanks.
