Region Migration is not working for me

Hi,

I moved from France to Norway around 8 months ago. Recently I tried to download Halo 3 for free (I am an XBOX Live Gold member) but I was getting an error each time. I do not remember the error (and the game is no longer free) but when I checked it was related to the region. My account it still tied to France, with a French credit card but my IP address is Norwegian of course.

If I try to change my region on https://live.xbox.com/fr-FR/AccountMigration I get an error message (without error code) inviting me to check http://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing-and-subscriptions/account-management/change-region?icid=furl_regionchangehelp

It's not really helping, I am not concerned by any of the "Conditions that prevent you from changing your region" items :(

I already tried to chat with the support, they promised to escalate the issue to the upper management but a few weeks later nothings changed.

I don't know if it's related but if I go to https://commerce.microsoft.com it looks like I have several accounts in one (same Microsoft ID!), one of them is Norwegian: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qds0hmyfdkvpige/Screenshot%202013-11-10%2022.49.41.png How can I make it my default XBOX Live account? It also may have something to do with your CC.  Do you have a Norwegian card that you can add then try to do the migration?

Sorry for the delay.

I tried to change the CC but I can't because it's a Norwegian CC and my account is set as country = France.

I have hard time understanding what I see on https://commerce.microsoft.com. Screenshot again: www.dropbox.com/.../Screenshot%202013-11-10%2022.49.41.png

When I connect with my Live credentials, I directly get a dropdown menu with 3 options. The "FR - Personal account" lists the history of my Xbox Live purchases and I can't edit the country. If I select "NO - Personal account" my Norwegian CC is there but my history is empty… I did't buy a lot of things so if only when I log to the Xbox I could say, "hey, use my NO account 'variant'" :/

I guess I will contact the support, again (already tried, they already told me they will fix this mess).

Sorry to hear about the region migration troubles.

I did some investigating, and unfortunately it does not seem like we will be able to do much on our end, as this is a deeper account issue. At this point Phone Support would be best equipped to assist. 

I would suggest giving them a call, and letting us know how it goes.
