Red ring console sent for repair and never returned!

Just a rant, I dont expect any resolution from this.

I sent my console in for repairs in 2009, yes, 2009.  I never received a console back, and I regularly email and call to find out what the problem is, when I look at the repair status using the number they gave me it says 'invalid service request number - no repair history for this product.'

I had two consoles for linking up with friends so I just moved my hard drive but the point is they said they would repair or replace a red ringed console and somehow mine got lost in the system. And I guess now that the new xbox slim is out I will never get a console returned to me.

ok, whinge over

This is just an example:

You can't go back 2 years later to a car dealership and tell them you never picked up your car.

They would have already considered it abandoned and would have been sent to auction for sale a year ago.

Yes this is real, check your local paper for abandoned property claims.

What options you Might have:

Do you have any tracking information about the package you sent at that time?

If the tag was issued by Microsoft they might be able to search for it, and see what service number it was linked to.

Then you could get a definitive answer as to where the package went etc.

It should be in your email if it was saved.

My question is, why did you wait so long to find out what happened?

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.

Great! Thanks for marking this as the answer.
