Red Hot Action!!!

Hey Guys I'm a proud owner of the Slim Line Xbox 360 and I have just noticed that It Gets Hot really Hot I was worried that this my cause my console to break, I keep it above My sky box and inside my Unit will it make any difference if I move it somewhere else?

Like a TV cabinet type unit?, I would say have it somewhere completely open on all sides so there is adequate air circulation. I have mine beside my TV with maybe a 6 inch gap between the 2, and nothing to any other side or the back.
Better safe than red ringed.

Not sure this link will work but its something like that but with only on space. Take out the self and its like this with the sky box and xbox on top. May have to Re arrange and use something else for my tv as My tv and Xbox wont fit on the top of the unit

Could do with being better ventilated and sitting on top of the Sky box can't be helping either.

If it is on the top it should be fine, but if it is in the cubbies you might have a problem.  I had a similar setup to the picture and had constant heating issues.

Also, if you are getting constant overheating issues in a well ventilated area, it could be and indicator that something is wrong with the 360.  I just got done sending mine in for the same reason (overheating errors/2 red lights).

Thanks For the replays People. I have moved it to another Unit that I have and its on a self on its own I will see how it goes there, Don't want to put it somewhere my little ones will see it easily as they broke my elite when I was at work, Really don't want that to happen again not with GOW 3 Out in a few hours lol

Arghhh! Same problem ayyehh.

Mine is horisontal.

The main vent is 30cm away from the table top and i have my headset on one side inside the plastic and on the other all my games and remotes.

Would it maybe fix it if i moved the headset and the games and remotes?
