Red dots on screen in 1080p.

Hi, i have just got a new samsung tv and i have my 360 connected with a hdmi lead. When i am in 1080p mode there are faint red dots on the screen and if i let the xbox go into sleep mode there are lots of them visable. If i switch the 360 settings to 1080i it seems ok does anyone know how i can fix this?

What kind of TV LCD? Plasma?

From what I googled it seems that it is caused by voltage settings on certain "boards" in the TV itself.

If it is a new TV your best bet is to exchange it for another one or have it worked on if there is a service warrenty.

Not saying this is the problem you are having just seems like the common factor for casuing the "red spots."

It's a lcd 3d led tv if that helps. If i watch a hd programme that works fine but have not tried a hd dvd yet due to not having a dvd player.

Have you tried a different input on your TV? Or perhaps a different cable?
