Receiving "Media update is required to play this content"

Hello I am reciving the message "a media update is required to play this content.  To get the update, sign into xbox live & play the content again"

I sign into my live account & download & install the update, then the video plays fine.

However a few days later when I try to play another video I get the same message unless I sign into live, then it plays fine.

Why am I having to be signed into live, since it downloaded the codec to the xbox?

Do you have more than one xbox, or have had one before, but got a new one, if so then you will have to do a licence transfer.  It will then let you play your videos offline.

I currently have 4 Xboxes.  One which I was using, before I got a new one (during the Black Friday Specials).

The one I was using before got moved to another room.  Is there simple instructions on transferring the license?

As far as games purchased/downloaded from the live service, I believe I have transferred the license from the previous XB to the one I'm seeing this error on (After I transferred, I even did a "factory reset" on the original xbox)

Ok I tried transferring the licensing using this method:

1.On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.

•Don't know your gamertag? See Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile.

•Need to find your Microsoft account? See Find your Microsoft account.

•Can't remember the password for your Microsoft account? See Recover your Microsoft account password.

2.Go to Settings and select Account.

3.Go to Your Billing Options and select License Transfer.

4.Follow the instructions to transfer the content licenses.

What I'm seeing says "You transferred your console licenses on 12/19/12.  You'll need to wait until 4/19/2013 to transfer again"

Create a separate Live account for each console, with its own unique Windows Live ID. Download the update to each console using the separate account created for each console.

That's how I get around the Optional Media Update license problem.
