Random Disconnects

My xbox 360 console will randomly disconnect from xbox live while I have a wired connection. The disconnections can range from a few seconds to a few hours, recently I purchased a new router and updated the firmware and the problem occurs a lot more but does not disconnect me as long. This also does not affect any other devices, just my xbox. I have looked online and found no solution to my problem.

I had a WRT54GS Speedbooster router but now I have the  WRT54GS without he speed booster, I currently have both available.

My family does use the internet a lot but this problem usually occurs when alone.

Download speed is 3 Mbits/second

Upload is .5Mbits/second

These speed are the fastest in the area.

Sorry I was unable to get back to you my computer broke and I had to save up to buy a new one.

I live in Florida, US have a Embarq 660 series modem. I have a wired connection. UPnP enables and the ports are fowarded. I have reset the modem and router, tried another router used a different ethernet cord, restarted my xbox and unplugged all cords from my xbox. I also tried different slots in my router. And my service provider is Century Link.

I am currently awaiting for the problem to occur I will post the values ASAP.

I also had issues being disconnected randomly, it was due to my internet connection when you don't pay bills so internet speed gets slower and frequently get disconnected. Let me know if it worked,^-^

The problem does occur when plugged into the modem directly but I tried it for maybe 3 days and it only happened once. While connected to the router it happens more frequently. And I will try that solution shaggy1082.
