Random Disconnections from Xbox Live

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?: Connection status is perfect.

Okay, when I try to join a game of Black Ops, or Battlefield 3, the screen keeps telling me it's connecting, before throwing me back out to the main menus. Then when I dashboard out, Xbox Live disconnects. Same with Netflix, when I dashboard out, Xbox Live kicks me off. My router and modem are fine, the connections are fine, the servers for Xbox Live are up and running, so what gives? 

Keep in mind, I can play games that don't require an online connection, and yes Netflix will run, it's just dashboarding out that disconnects me.

Have you tried bypassing your router to establish a direct connection between your modem and console? Just for test purposes. :)
