Random Disconnection from Xbox Live

I am with BT and we have recently bought a new router which has worked out amazingly for everyone else in the house but me. I can be playing on Black Ops or Fifa and i will randomly Disconnect from Xbox live and then instantly reconnect. I have checked my speed and it is average and no one else in the house is having problems. Its annoying because I get demoted for quitting early or I get bad stats ETC. I can go on my computer at the same time and the I will disconnect then reconnect to Xbox live whilst the computer does not even flinch. It either happens once maybe twice a day or it can happen up to 6-8 times an hour which it just has.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the delay Llama!

Thanks for the update! Appreciate if you could find out the make and model of your modem and router and post up this information as well.

If you know how to: Login to your router and look up UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). Make sure this feature is turned on/enabled.

You may also try and improve your wireless signal by changing the wireless channel on your router. Change your channel manually to 11.

Remember to Save/Apply settings and reboot your router.

Keep us posted!
