"The current profile is not authorized to play with Xbox live"

We have buyed a xbox live 2 months ago.

I create this week a new windows live ID  (> 18 year's old) in order to have the first month free for xbox live for  testing and  playing in line

When I use this profile  for playing in line with a game, I have the following message "The current profile is not authorized to play with Xbox live"

I have put the family control but all the games are authorized.

The account is showing as a free/silver account. You need a gold account to play online. If you tried signing up for the free month trial, then it looks you may have not gotten it for some reason.

To get the free trial you have to create a brand new account on the console. During the creation process it asks if you want to Join Live. Choose Yes and it will give you the options for paying for a gold membership. Choose Upgrade Later and it gives you the free trial if it's available. There are only 3 free trials per console, so if it's a use console they may have all been used up.
