"Email address or password isn't valid for this account. Try again."

Sometime in the afternoon a message says that  my account was logged in into another console recently, I activated the "ask for profile password to sign in"   

So normally this message appeared: "You'll need this profile's Microsoft account password to sign in"

I do remember my password and entered it but this message appeared:

"This email address or password isn't valid for this account. Try again."

I entered my email address and password many times and the same message appears. I am able to my log in to my xbox account on my pc with the same email address and password so what gives? I reset  my password a couple of times. Every password worked on my pc but when I try to sign in on my xbox console the same message appears: "This email address or password isn't valid for this account. Try again." I even added an alternate email, tried it, but still the same message.

Hi there,

Try the following steps.

1. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to select Delete profile only. See the how to here: support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

2. Clear the console cache. See the how to here: support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

3. Turn the console off.

4. Turn console on again.

5. Clear the console cache one more time.

6. Download your profile see the download profile steps on the link at step 1.

When the profile is downloaded you might have verify it via one of the security proofs, but after that it should be able to sign in again without any problems.

Exact same situation as the OP, but none of this is working for me, and I called Microsoft, they say it makes no sense, with no idea on how to fix it. Please help. And yes, I've followed all of the steps. 10 times.

Hi, I have the exact same problem, I did the steps as stated above but those did not work, as soon as I try to sign in after all that it still says "This email address or password isn't valid for this account. Try again."

Is there any other solution I can try?
