I completely agree John. I've been attempting to get a replacement headset due to a wiring issue with mine, and i'm being told that I need to send the faulty item back at my own expense. Absolutely disgusting treatment for customer who have spent on alot of money on a product that even now is experiencing a huge number of issues!

what gets me in the how to get a warranty service it states in section D) REASONABLE COSTS WITH TRANSPORT (INCLUDING PACKAGING ) FOR WARRANTY SERVICE WILL BE BORNE BY MICROSOFT IF THE XBOX ONE OR ACCESSORY IS COVERED BY THE EXPRESS WARRANTY OR ANY STATUTORY  WARRANTY >>>>>> WELL ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE CENTRE ONLINE MY REPLACEMENT CONTROLLER IS THROUGH THE EXPRESS SERVICE SO WHEN WILL I BE PAID BACK FOR THE COST OF PACKAGING AND POSTAGE TO GET MY CONTROLLER TO SYDNEY OR IS THIS ANOTHER BIG FAT LIE MICROSOFT FROM ONE VERY ANGRY CUSTOMER

My headset was busted but they didn't make me send it back.  Shortly after, they did start making people send theirs back.  My friend's headset stopped working and he tried to get a replacement and they made him send his back.

just to let all know microsoft sent me a code for 1 months xbox live as compensation for cost of postage and packaging at least it was a way of refunding me and did go some way in admitting they have not kept to the warranty they send out with the hardware they sell
