After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)
Y: 20A8 - 4840
L: 0015 - 10F0
Q: 0015 - 10F1
I have no idea what all that above means so please help with that since I do not see the "bars" everyone is saying should pop up at the end of the test to see what my connection is I see this:
Xbox 360...netgear...internet...xbox live
now I do have bars above where it shows my "netgear" but they are all white(four white bars)
I just have insane lag, now I do connect wired also but it doesnt help so I figured I would run the test on wireless to see if there were more issues, I can post the wired results if you guys need me too.
My big problem is wondering if its my router or modem? As in do I need a high performing modem/router I know nothing about them so I just got the ones the cable company provided. But I figured if I was wired it wouldnt be an issue.
My router and modem are around 15 ft from my xbox, my xbox is out in the open next to a minifridge and a wall but nothing is between my xbox and router except my tv
my xbox is also a newer slim black but it is refurbished.
So big question, what kind of modem/router should I buy to get a better connection, what are the best wires to use to get a better connection. I figure it has to be my hardware.
