question about the "Programming" setting in the Privacy options

does the "Family" setting in the Programming section of the Privacy settings make it so there is no "objectional" ads on the Dashboard? like, will it block ads for M rated games and "mature" TV shows, etc?

if so, is that all it does? or will it block access to M rated games, as well, and any related DLC, etc, from being bought/played?

I believe that setting applies to only TV on demand apps that you can download (Youtube, 4OD etc).

Greetings, escare! Here is a list of all of the Privacy Settings you can select for child accounts including explanations of the LIVE activities you can control: support.xbox.com/.../online-safety

If you are concerned with the dashboard specifically you can choose to receive the standard Xbox Dashboard or the Family Dashboard with family Xbox LIVE programming. You can learn more about parental controls here: support.xbox.com/.../parental-control-info. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions. :)
