Question about My profile being Hacked

So...

My profile was hacked/broken into today..
I called support, and they locked my profile, and got all of the information they need to do an investigation.

They said that my account will be locked for the durration of the investigation.

I just have 1 question about this:
-Does this mean that I will be unable to play on live during this time?
---some new GoW DLC comes out on Tuesday that I was looking forward to.
---Unfortunately, I am now locked, and all of my MS points are now gone :(

I just wanted to know if I can play online (even if I can't DL the new stuff)

Wow, this is already on the 2nd page....

There are way too many stickies taking up the first page.

Can someone please help.

I not complaining to have the issue resolved, I just want to know if I can play online or not during this investigation.

Your account will be locked until the investigation is finished. Can take up to a month. They should be able to give you back everything you lost including your points and probably an extra month of live. You just have to wait it out. Hope they solve it for you soon.

So, this mean that I wont be able to play on live?

I know when it is locked, I can't purchase anything, bug does this mean that I also will not be able to play?

Also, I was given a number to call if I received any more information that could help...

So, I just check my email, and I have an email from EA saying that my password was changed successfully.

--I haven't been on the EA site for a long time.

This made me realized, that the guy who is stealing my stuff on XBL also now has access to my EA account.

Does anyone have a way for me to contact EA (none of the stuff on their website is working)

---and I don't know my password for the site...

Also, if I could figure out how who changed my PW for EA, it would probably be good info to let MS know for their investigation.

XBox support asked over the phone if I was part of any sites that I used my Windows Live ID on...

I told them the Gears forums and the Bungie Forums...I forgot to tell them about EA (I forgot)

---I wanted to call and update them on the situation, but the number they gave me isn't working....

What should I do?

You need to go and change your passwords for all related accounts. Just sign into the accounts and change the passwords before the phisher gets in them.

Yup, I did that as one of the first things...

I'm still very confused as to where they got this info though...

I change my passwords every once and while for security already

--Although I sometimes forget sites (like EA) that I haven't been to in a while :/

Any ideas on:

1. how can  I contact xb support about my personal issue (they gave me a phone number in case I got more info, but it doesn't work)

2. I just wanted to be sure...Can I play xbox (live) during this period that I'm locked?

make sure your xbox live email and your ea email are diffrent please it will help in the future

You can just call 18004myxbox and they should be able to pull up your incident on record, or you can tell them your case number if you wrote it down. That is probably the number they gave you, not a phone number, but a case number. Finally, if you have access to your XBL account then go ahead and play. If you cannot sign in, then it means you must wait until the account is unlocked. Just give it a try. Best of luck.

I played last night.

I was connected to live, but only played private matches (I didn't try online matches)

--I guess I will try tonight

I'm used to them giving me a Case #, but this time, I was pretty sure it was a Phone # (Because it is now under investigation)
