Question about bans.

I've been through two Xbox 360's, and they both died. I got fed up and jumped ship to Sony and got a PS3. Then I realized what a **** mistake that was, and now I want a 360 again. Posted an ad on Craigslist to trade my PS3 for a 360. This is a response I got:

"i have a xbox elite, 120 GB hard drive, all cords, Godfather II the game, has original box and receipt, but the only thing is the xbox live is banned"

Is there, like... a console ban/account ban when it comes to bans? If I were to trade, would I be able to recover my account on that Xbox and be able to play on Live, or no?

If a console is banned, you will not be able to go on Xbox LIVE at all.

Sonic is correct. You can make as many gamertags as you wish, but the console in question cannot get on xbox live. I would suggest buying the 4gb slim models as they have a very very very slim fail rate and they run much smoother than the old consoles.

Best of luck!
