profile download error

i have two xbox and i use one profile on both. it has been working fine but today i accidentally deleted my hard drive so now when i try to download the profile again i get this error:

Failed to recover account.

Visit account.live.com for help

it seems to work and download fine on my other xbox but it doesn't download correctly on my other xbox. here are the list of things i have done:

-clear cached then redownload account, still get the error

-use my other xbox and delete the profile then redownload and it works fine.

-download another profile first then download mine, still get that error

-have a friend download my profile and it downloads on his xbox fine

-reset my password and i still get the error

-reset the profile protections and still gets the error.

I've had the same problem....Is the account still on ur xbox? Or was it completely deleted?

Yes, at the moment many people are having trouble with profile downloads. Right now the xbox server is down for profile downloading, but it's okay, server downs don't last long at all and happen all the time. It will be back up soon so you can download your profile. Check back over the next 2 days, it should be up by then . I hope i helped.

I don't have problem downloading other profiles but when it comes to mine, i keep getting that same error.

I use 3 different 360s myself and use a flash drive to work around re-downloading my profile. You may want to try transferring your profile to one of those and just swap that between system. Its a lot easier then redownloading all the time.

looks like network problems...

.

make a LIVE-TEST in the network configurations, your NAT must be open...!!!

if it is not open u can get problems with dl your profile...

.

this ports need to be forwarding:

  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP und TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP und TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)

i tried using a usb to switch xbox but when i sign into it, it ask for a password then after i put in the password i get the same error.

its not my network since i am able to use live and download any other profile except mine.

Delete your profile(profile only > Re-download it. If the issues persists, clear the system cache and re-download the profile again.

Hey there Grub! Just so I'm caught up, you can download your profile fine on every console, except one of yours, correct? But that same console can download other profiles just fine, yeah? That's rather odd. What if you download your profile and then move it to that console with a USB device and then try using it, does that work? Let us know, thanks!
