Profile Disappeared From Dashboard & Error Code On Recovery

I was playing online earlier this morning and was subsequently disconnected from Xbox Live, on trying to sign myself back in I found that my Gamer profile has disappeared from the dashboard. Anyone have any clues to why it has disappeared, or more importantly how I can get it back as trying to recover it gives me error code 8007045D.

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest checking your hard drive and make sure that your profile is not currupt. If your profile or any other files are currupt please delete the files. ( If it is your profile that is currupt please make sure when you delete it that you delete profile only) When you have deleted the currupt files try to download your profile again

Another step you could try would be to turn the console off and remove the hard drive and try to recover your account to a usb stick.

That error code if I am not mistaken has something to do with your storage device, you can try using a flash drive as a memory unit and download your profile back onto that and see if you can't move it to your hard drive again.

Using flash drive as memory unit: Using a Flash Drive a Memory Unit Please click on format a flash drive and follow those steps. :-)

Thanks guys, I've had a look on the storage device and my profile has disappeared from there but the GF's is still there. I'll give the Flash Drive recovery method a drive and report back.
