Profile cannot be downloaded at this time.

I just turned my xbox on for the first time in about a week and my profile was gone. It is not on my hard drive at all. I try to download it, i enter my information and it say "Hi Tyreal II. Downloading profile" Then and error msg saying it cannot be downloaded.

Greetings, Tyreal! Very sorry to here about your situation. We'll get this sorted out. First off, can you tell me the exact error message you are seeing? It could be that your profile is still listed on the HDD. Can you take a look and let me know if it's there?
 

You may also want to try redownloading your profile to a USB device configured for use with Xbox 360 on your own console: support.xbox.com/.../usb-flash-drive

"Sorry, Xbox live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later." 8007045D

When I type my info in its accepts it, say Hi Tyreal II and goes to DL. Then gives me that MSG.

I can download it on my roommates xbox, but not mine.

Greetings, Tyreal. Thank you for the clarification. Did you check to see if your profile is stored on your HD? If it's corrupt I would try deleting it and try re-downloading by using the steps here:support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete.
 

If you don't see a profile on your HD, could you start by making sure your Xbox can connect properly to Xbox LIVE? Just go to "Settings", "Network settings", and try "Test Xbox LIVE connection". You may also want to try connecting your Xbox directly to your modem to see if that makes a difference.

when I tried to download mine it stops halfway through and does nothing else and occasionally comes up with the same it does for you.With an error code:80072746

Try clearing your system cache.Go to "system settings","storage"or"memory"go to your hard drive but don't press a,press y.Then select "clear system cache"then "yes".Reset your xbox and try again,it worked for me but don't know for definite it will for others but just thought this might help.

It is not on my HD anymore. I connected it directly and the same msg. Also the clear system cache did not work.

Hmmm, tricky! Taking a step back, when you tried downloading your profile directly to a USB device (support.xbox.com/.../usb-flash-drive), was the hard drive disconnected? If not, can you try doing this again with the hard drive disconnected? Do you receive the same error code when doing so? Thanks in advance. Hang in there!

I dont have a USB usable right now. But I did use  my friend harddrive in my xbox and it downloaded.

Hmmm, if you have the option to download your profile to USB in the future I would be very interested to know if it helps. Otherwise, I would recommend getting in touch with phone support. They should be able to assist you further with this matter. Thanks in advance!
