Problems With Xbox Live

Hello, I Have Just Re-Bought An Xbox 360 From A Game Store, And I Have Plugged The Ethernet Cable Into The Back And It Is Not Connecting, The Ethernet Cable Works Fine Plugged It Into My Laptop And It Is Fine, My Friend Said The Xbox May Be Banned :/ How Do I Resolve This??

I Have Try'd It Hasn't Resolved It what Happens Is When I Go On Settings, Network Settings, The It Comes Up With Available Networks(Wired.......Wireless Network) And When I Click On Wired It Comes Up With Please Insert An Ethernet Cable And I Have Unplugged And Plugged It Back In And Still Does It, The Ethernet Cable Works Fine Though So I Am Confused :/

On that page there is an option to call support. I would go that route.

You just need to reset your 360 back to Factory Defaults. The previous owners ip info is stored on the console you bought.

You do this on one of the tabs under configure network.

After you restore, reboot the 360 and find your network again from the available networks list.

If it is in fact the ethernet port on the console, either connect wirelessly (if you can) or take the console back to the store for another one.
