Problems with video/audio

I am pretty sure that I need the hd cables but I wanted to confirm before doing anything. I have a new HD tv, plugged in my original 360 (first series of release and still going strong!) and I now have a lovely gray screen and no audio. Works just fine on the old tv. If it is the cables, recommendation on brand type?

It sounds as if you may have the standard def a/v cables hooked into a component connection on your tv.. If your tv has just an a/v connection that is where you will want them connected, if not then you will need either and HDMI cable (if your xbox has an HDMI connection) or HD component cables which can be purchased at GameStop or Best Buy and many other locations that are for the Xbox 360.

Hey all! I would also suggest trying to change the display settings on the console as well, just to see if that helps at all. You can find these under Settings Hub > System > Console Settings > Display. Let us know if this helps, thanks!
