Problem setting up Xbox Live Gold 14 Day Trial

Hi there, I hope someone can help


I recently bought an xbox one (having not had any previous consoles), and it came with a code for a 14 day trial for xbox live gold.  I went through the process of redeeming the free trial via the xbox website, and it said it was successful.

However, I now have no record appearing anywhere confirming that I now have access to xbox live gold, and when I'm on my xbox the only prompts are to buy a subscription.

Can anyone advise if there is an issue with these trials, or if there is somewhere else I should go/contact (I've tried the FAQ type info on the xbox site, but it hasn't helped so far)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Gold trials will not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. So really the only way to make sure it works is by trying to play online.

You should also be able to see the trial listed in your subscriptions at http://commerce.microsoft.com.
