Preview Team - please review

Hi, I have a issue regarding the preview program. I was invited on 8th August 2015.

Still no message to my Xbox One console.

I have spoken to Support (via chat and telephone) on numerous occasions who confirm I was accepted and still no message. Basically went though loads of things including deleting Blu-Ray Persistant storage, deleting alternate MAC (why, I have no idea, but did these as requested anyway) and lost data due to being requested to restore to factory settings (really appreciated) and still no message.

I have proof people 2 weeks after me have been sent the app message yet still not recieved on my console. (I refuse to post other peoples GT's on a public forum)

I have (still to this date) been dealing with Daniel in the Advocacy and Listening Dept and guess what - yup still no message. (I can prove via case number if requested if someone wants to spend an hour or two reading it)

I cannot access private forums to ask directly as still get Message ID 33 "Group Not Found"

All I have been asking is for someone to re-send the message and I'm going around in circles.

Anyway, support have confirmed I have been accepted, enforcement action cleared OK and on there system for my GT "Stage 1" invite is ticked and still shows as "Stage 2" Pending - Awaiting Console Enrollment from User.

So wheres my preview dash app message guys????

Well first and foremost

Being invited by your friend doesnt automatically mean you will be accepted

You are only accepted whenbyou receive the link

2Nd august was the cutt off date when they cut down on the enrollees

Meaning they are being picky with who they accept

Ironically support doesnt know if you were accepted kr not

All they see if you were invited by your friend thats it

The only people who can see if you were accepted or not is the preview team on preview forums

Fyi the preview program is at near capacity and someone said they arent accepting anymore and the enroll wave msg is now gone on the forums so its is highly doubtful you will get in now

When you get a msg on the dashboard saying you were accepted and here is the link thats whem you are accepted

You will be waiting a very long time according to the previous enrollment msg

They do everything in batches and waves

Fyi stage two is acceptance meaning you werent accepted

There are 3 stages

1 invite and registration wave and waiting list

2nd acceptance and downloading the app

3rd is the downloading the app

3rd is rhe preview update sorry

.if you arent in the preview now you will have to wait for the next one which is the more intensive one because it requires you to factory reset your console and thats a smaller group

The bit which gets me is I was told I was accepted and invite sent to me and awaiting for me to d/l app and enroll a console.

Really wound up with this as it just seems Preview Team are a rule unto there own.

If someone said I was not accepted then fair enough, I can accept that, but I cant accept being lied to.

Also - why would support say I was accepted and why would i know the stage levels if support cant view this?

Why would the say "congratulations you have made it through" and other stuff (I have chat transcripts to prove)

Hey DaVeZ, sorry you had to go through all this.  However, phone support does not have full access to the preview program and, as such, cannot tell who is or is not in it.  All they can see is that you were invited.

What ngocphi has said about enrollment being on hold is correct though.  The service is pretty much full so they won't be adding too many more people at the moment.  However, if you've been invited that means that your name is still in the queue for possible addition at some point in the future when they have room again.

Please be patient and keep an eye on your Live messages for more info from the preview team.

However it shouldnbe noted with the advoacy group thats corporate ms

Maybe you ahould wait for the mods which gives you accesss to the preview forums rhen you can post in the sticky concerning i missed my msg with the preview app

However the requirement is that only if you can confirm you received the msg at least once

Otherwise they will tell you you are going to have to wait in line which is a very long one atn

They can confirm if you received it at least once but as mentioned aupport doesnt see who is actually invited or not

I am sure you can see why this has annoyed me. Getting told in, now you guys saying this.

Double checked dates and I was deffo invited 8th August. I have proof of someone being invited on 15th August and Invite / App sent on 17th August.

Gets really annoying that loyalty (almost 7 years Tenure) at MS means Jack.

I get Windows insider for my lumia's no probs though (and yes I'm always giving feedback).

This has gone on too long now, being passed pillar to post for nearly 2 months and no-one willing to sort it.

If I had enforcement actions or cheated or modded consoles e.t.c. - yeah I would understand, but why should I invest more time and money into a company that says one thing and delivers another?
