Can an xbox console purchased In the us be used in Africa? He US power brick is rated 110-120v and the power supply mains in nigeria is 220-240. Can I buy an alternate power brick? Where can I find one?
Traditionally, the only way to get an alternate power brick has been via Xbox Support. It's possible to buy a spare PSU now via the site (though it isn't straightforward), but unfortunately your console has to be a 220v model already.
It's great that the exchange rate has people wanting to buy things from the USA, but it doesn't work out well for electronics that do not support worldwide voltage standards. Your best bet is to buy an Xbox One from a country with a 220-240v power standard.
Did this solve your problem?
