Possible solution to the headsets not working

So last night i was playing titanfall with a friend and the headset wasnt working correctly and I could only hear my friend through the television and not my headset at all.  He could hear me so i assumed the headset mic was working and it was one of many bugs.  He was talking about a weird echo on my end he could hear so i decided to go into my settings and try to reupdate my controllers firmware because i am part of the beta updates.  So i do that and i go around some other settings because that doesnt work and i see the kinect microphone setting on, i turn it off and my friend cant hear me no matter how many times i plug up and unplug my headset it just will not work.  I reset my console with the kinect microphone still off and the headset works perfectly now.  The kinect shouldnt find source over the headset and im thinking that the kinects microphone connecting before the headset is why its having so many problems.

This happens to me too, SOMETIMES (and I stress that, because it's less often that not) I can resync the controller and get it to work and SOMETIMES (same caveat) I can go to the kinect settings and toggle "use kinect for game chat" and get it to work. Otherwise rebooting the console with the headset plugged into the controller always works.... such an annoyance and painful embarrassing for it being heir third console. I assume it's a bug but it's hard to search since you get so many stereo headset and 360 results.
