Please help with connecting

I had a investigation done on my account and they proved unauthorized access to my account. After gaining control of my account again i tried to login and the lifetime ban seems to be still in place. I called xbox support and the agent named Tom told me that they have done their part with obtaining my account back for me and from what was documented the investigation was completed. They have my situation well documented in REF # 1155617045. He told me to again contact you guys on this forum. So could you guys please remove the ban that was placed on my account DaveN2O. All the information about my account and the problems I faced is documented under the reference number I had stated above.The agent said you guys were the last step in gaining my account completely back. He had no way to call you guys or contact you about my case. My account was found to be accessed by an unauthorized person so I believe you should have no problem removing my ban. This could be new to me. But I never heard of Microsoft phone reps telling users to get their accounts un banned via the forums.

Can't unban anyone. You'd need to hit up Xbox Support honestly and try to get them to get the PETs to unban you. Which is honestly unlikely.

The account in question will not be unbanned. It has a modded avatar. Even though this action happened whilst your account was not in your control the ban will stand as issued because unauthorized methods were used to alter the avatars appearance and ACCOUNT SECURITY is EVERYONE'S responsibility, not just MS's. There are only a select few ways someone could gain control of your account; via phishing, via social engineering, or via you willingly giving out the information either in general discussion or in exchange for services such as a higher rank. All of them being the users fault.

 

If you use the same e-mail and password for XBL that you use for other services/websites then your account is not SECURE. You should be using a seperate e-mail and password that you do not use for any other website/service. For more information go to Account security for Xbox LIVE.

 

However if you still would like an OFFICIAL response from MS on your account ban then you need to post in the appropriate forum. That would be the MY LIVE ACCOUNT WAS SUSPENDED forum. After all I am just assuming that the above will happen since that is how other cases such as yours have been dealt with over the years.
