Playing DVD's - Region Locked?

I have a UK system (Pal) I think? I brought it from Microsoft UK so I assume it is. I have gone to play a DVD tonight and I get the error 

"Sorry, We cannot play this disc, This disc is made for region 2 and this console is designed for region 1"

(0x91d70005)

Any ideas

Well the UK is region 2, so it sounds like the DVD software in your Xbox was designed for North America.  You'll probably need to have it exchanged.

The receipt from Microsoft stores even says PAL and the Fifa14 bundle it comes with was UK/Ireland only so I don't see how it can be wrong?

Ha I live in the US and I have the same problem. Maybe our consoles got switched at birth?

If you're having issues with your console and discs being different regions, I would recommend getting in touch with the retailer you purchased from.
