Pay wall? Who cares, I don't

People complain about apps and features on the Xbox One being behind the Xbox Live paywall but the way I have always looked at it is what's the point in having Xbox Live without having Xbox Live Gold. Seriously I haven't had the internet at home since I moved and having an Xbox 360 with out Xbox Live Gold ruins the whole gaming experience, I get bored a lot now even with new games whereas I used to spend hours playing online or even just speaking to my mates in party chat whilst playing solo games. I think people complain because they want everything for nothing, I may be wrong though.

I wasn't an online gamer until I started paying for Xbox Live. I had an N64, a Wii, and an Xbox, but when I bought my Xbox 360 and went online, I started to really get into it. Researching the best games, finding out what's popular online... the whole bit. Before Xbox Live I just sort of bought games based on whether or not the cover looked interesting.

I've always been happy to pay my subscription fee for Xbox LIVE.

Whether it's just for going into Party Chat and talking to friends/family, multiplayer, co-op gaming. Of course people always want something for nothing, that's natural but in the end I'm happy to pay for the quality of service I receive.

I would pay more if they asked. $50/year is peanuts compared to the service XBL provides.

It's 60 bucks a year now.

Its £40/year in the UK

Who ever pays rrp for Xbox Live Gold subs? I always get it for £30 or less. It's not exactly expensive.

Not everyone plays online all of the time. I'll let my subscription lapse occasionally if there's not anything i'm playing online. Having gold does not enhance Netflix or any of the other apps that are behind the paywall in any way, so why should they require gold?

Haha, last time i paid it was 50. $5/month is nothing to complain about, that's for sure.

If you shop about you can find some great deals. I know my son got a good deal on Shopto recently, they had a special offer of a 12 + 1 month Subscription for just over £34. I bet you could find some even better deals if you look about.

Again though, even at £40 a year, still more than worth it in my opinion.

Best I got was from simplycdkeys £25. They're part of simply games. Every time I see a deal I add it onto my account.. Think I'm stocked up for about 3 years at the moment..
