Hi there -
I seem to have an interesting problem here that I can't even find any results on Google for.
So I was playing with an Xbox LIVE account I just made to test something on a game, and when I wanted to switch back to my original account, I logged out, signed into my profile, and it said that it couldn't connect to Xbox LIVE. I couldn't even connect to Xbox LIVE with any other accounts, including the new one.
These are the actions I took:
- Restarted console
- Restarted router, will do modem in a moment
- Restored to factory defaults under System Settings>Network Settings>[Network Name]>Configure Network>Additional Settings.
- Checked for port 3074.
- Checked for Xbox LIVE's status (Up and Running)
The strangest part was that it occured when I switched accounts. I have never dealt with a problem like this before, and I've had some strange problems in the past.
Here's the connection test result
Xbox 360 > Router (success) > Internet (success) > Xbox LIVE (success).
It did fail once while it was at Internet > Xbox LIVE.
I believe the error was "Your Xbox can connect to the internet, but can't connect to Xbox LIVE.
- Restart Router
- Open port 3074
Also suggested that something (router I believe) or my ISP could be blocking Xbox LIVE, which is totally impossible because I only signed off for like 10 seconds to switch profiles.
So I really do not understand how any of this makes sense. I appreciate your time in helping me solve this problem. Thank you!
