Trying to recover my gamer tag on my XBox after recovering on other (friend's) system. Just found out that recovering to his system wasn't a good idea/the right way to do that...Well, I recently got my XBox back and in attempting to recover tag on this system, I receive the message:
"Can't add this account because Xbox LIVE membership creation or access to Xbox LIVE is blocked.
To change your console safety settings, go to My Xbox, Family Settings."
Great. Tried that route and I run into the next of the Herculean Tasks.
Enter Pass Code.
Now, I know it's been a while since I used this system, but I never had the pass code set in the first place on this console--last time I used this box they hadn't even moved to this type of security, so how can I know a code for something I never set? Then it asks if I want to reset. Hell yes I want to reset. I just bought Dragon Age II and I can't even play the damn thing. Then it asks me a security question...you guessed it, the answer of a question I never established as my security question. What is the name of my favorite fictional character??? That's the LAST security question I would have selected had I known the options. So, basically, either Hal has embodied himself in my Xbox and commandeered my system, or, when I recovered the gamer tag on my friend's system, something must've happened with the settings there? I don't know, really. Somebody help!
