Party Connection

Hi I am unable to to connect to a friend's party  but i do have connection to live and am able to play halo reach matchmaking fine. I have played with him before so i'm kind of stumped.

I'm running live through my computer and that connects to the net via wireless. My nat type is closed (I would have thought this was the problem if i hadn't connected to him before)

I live in Australia, New South Wales, Narara

My Service provider is Telstra

Here is the error status report when i run (and pass) the connection test

Have one of you changed you internet(i.e one of you moving to a new location or getting a new provider). And is it only just that one person you cant connect to, if so have someone you can both connect to host the party. Hope this helps :)

Hey there Brandrew!
I suggest you try use bridging instead of ICS. Here's how!
Remember to restore Xbox network settings back by default. Configure your router incoming LIVE traffic with Port Forwarding to the Xbox static IP address. When opening ports for incoming traffic with Port Forwarding make sure you disable UPnP and DMZ. If your PC is using a personal firewall (Mcafee, Zonealarm, Norton etc.) then you have to forward these ports on your firewall as well. Ensure your modem/router firmware is up to date. Check manufactures website. Reset your network devices and reconnect them in right order:

  • Turn off your Xbox 360 console and all network hardware (for example, your modem and router).
  • Wait one minute.
  • Turn on your modem and wait for it to come back online (one more minute).
  • Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, the router), and wait another minute.

Test Xbox LIVE Connection and see if you get any NAT issues. Also, check with your friend about his/her NAT status.
