Parental permission?????

Man, Microsoft sure does a lousy job with this stuff, don't they?

My son cannot sign into his MS Live account on the Xbox360.  Asks for him to sign in with email address.  We do that. It then says that I (his parent), must sign in on my account to verify (xbox.com).

I have searched EVERYWHERE to find out where the heck I'm supposed to do this (you'd think it would be obvious), but to no avail.

Does anyone out there know how/where to do this?

Can't give you the answer, but been on the live chat 3 times to try and resolve the issue, still no joy. Really poor service and it's been three weeks! Gave Microsoft all my details for them to reset my permissions, still waiting.  Try contacting them also, maybe the more that complain, the faster they will do something about it

Okay, I'm not sure of the exact process that I went through, but I got it to work.  I think...

When you get to the screen on the Xbox that I (parent) must sign in to verify him; what it says is that HE must sign in, and then I must sign in to verify.  So, we did it in that order and BEFORE I clicked on the "OK" button on the Xbox Screen.

So again, here is the process; Xbox says my son must log in on the computer.  Did that.  It then put me to a page where I verified him.  I then went back to the Xbox and clicked "OK", and then it worked.

I'm pretty sure I went through very similar, if not identical steps before, but the web never put me directly to a page where I could verify him.

I just did it.  You have to create an account for yourself THEN add them.  The only problem I have is my son cant carry his achievements across to the live profile.  Other than that, the settings are great from the parent standpoint.

Ok, after spending TWO HOURS online w/tech support, try this (it worked for me):

Go to (on the Xbox console) Settings/System/Storage, select "Y" (device options), then select "Clear System Cache".  Then reboot the system (leave it off for at least a minute).

Hope this helps.
