Parental Approval????

I'm not sure where to post this, but this seemed like the best place. Thank you in advance for any help.


I was in my account settings and I clicked on Upgrade/Manage Account. A message popped up that said "

Purchase Blocked

Content purchases are blocked. You can change your permissions here."

I clicked on here  and got,

Parental Approval Required

Your parent associated with this account must enter their Windows Live ID to continue.

I am 20 years old and I don't have a parent associated with my account. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you can help that would be awesome.

Are you part of a family plan for gold membership?  If so, any account that is part of the family plan and not the main holder of the plan is considered a child account regardless of age and will require "parental approval"

If you are not a part of the family plan, if you have had your account for a few years and put in the proper birthday your account may need to be promoted to an adult account
