Parental approval when trying to accept the terms on xbox.live.com

Hi there,

I have been in contact with alot of different people now and they send me here. So here's my problem:

a) I have my own microsoft account, which I have access to my mail etc.;
b) I go to live.xbox.com because when I use the windows 8 store it says I have to accept the new terms of agreement;
c) When I log in on live.xbox.com, it gives me the terms of agreement with a checkbox that I read and accepted them;
d) Once I click check and accept it logs of my account and returns to the login page on live.xbox.com. On this page it says that 'please let one of your parents login to their account with their password'.
And this is where it's a problem, my parents don't even have a windows account. It has been many years when I created my account but I'm pretty sure that I never connected to a parent account supervising me.
Hopefully I explanined the issue enough, otherwise please ask.
Thanks in advance,
Romke

Hey there Ryqon!

Let's see what we can do to get things sorted. ^_^

If you were not legally an adult when you created your account, you will have had to set up a parental account to govern your account. From what you've said, it looks like you'll need to log in with the parent account email/password to accept the new Terms.

If you can't remember the parental account information, I suggest using the xbox.com/forgot page to see if that helps recover any forgotten information.

If you're still having trouble remembering information after using that page, your next option is to use the Contact Us page to set up a support call with an account specialist who would be able to go through your options with you.

I hope that helps! ^_^
