Parental Approval Needed????????

I'm not sure where to post this, but this seemed like the best place. Thank you in advance for any help.

 

I was in my account settings and I clicked on Upgrade/Manage Account. A message popped up that said "

Purchase Blocked

Content purchases are blocked. You can change your permissions here."

I clicked on here  and got,

Parental Approval Required

Your parent associated with this account must enter their Windows Live ID to continue.

I am 20 years old and I don't have a parent associated with my account. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you can help that would be awesome.

You will need to follow the directions below:

•Sign in to Xbox LIVE by using the account that you want to change.

•Go to Settings, and then select Account.

•Select Promote Child Account.

•Follow the on-screen instructions to promote the account.

Thank you for your previous response. I attempted to follow the instructions given in the link you provided. However, when I first created the account myself I was a child, now that I'm grown, I wish to promote to an adult account. The problem is that there is no other associated adult or any other person at all for that matter. Therefore, the problem is that I cannot find any facility in order to perform the 'promotion' task.

Any assistance you will provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're on a child account. If the account truly reflects your actual age then you should be able to promote it: support.xbox.com/.../online-safety.aspx
