Parent Signing up thier Child

So the info on the XBOX site is limited on how to go about all this stuff. I just bought a pre-owned xbox 360 for my son, I have no documentation on really what XBOX LIve Gold is other than I know it will give me access to lots of great stuff and he can play on-line.

So I created a Microsoft Account for myself first, given that I am the parent and would control everything, and then all it seems to want to do is get my credit card and give me a membership, which I may or may not want to do.......

Each individual must get their own XBOX Live Account if they want access, so this is roughly $60 per person for 1 year of access. Given that I'm not willing to pay $120 or $180 per year for something most of us will rarely use, I only want to sign my son up with his own account, set him as a child account and pay for that account only.

follow the link already posted

but best advise is to create a microsoft account for your son as well

if his account is a child account, when creating his profile on the console, the console will ask for a parental ms account so you can use your own emsil accout for parentsl controls on his account, ie block purchases etc
