Original XBox and going Wireless

I still have the original XBox and the wireless "MN-740 adaptor" which connects via an ethernet connection, "not USB"...

My Router is the Linksys E-4200 which is "WPA" encryption and wireless N.

Can not get the MN-740 to connect to my network as it only accepts "WEP".

Is there another way to get this XBox to go wireless using a different type of adaptor? Seems all current adaptors only use a USB connection.

The XBox is for the Kids and don't want to just throw it out!

Thanks,

Ron

Hi,

Linksys E-4200 also includes the Wired Equivalency Privacy (WEP) wireless security encryption, so you can simple switch the kind of security password on your router.

As you say all current adaptors only use a USB connection.

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.

Great! Thanks for marking this as the answer.
