One of my kid's online friends is threatening to commit suicide

I am disgusted by this system. One of my kid's online friends is threatening to commit suicide and I am literally unable to speak with anyone at Microsoft. I need to talk with someone NOW

Sorry about that issue, i know its frustating but the only way to report that kind of behaviour its to block / mute and report the gamertag.

Microsoft will check the complaint.

No need to block them, but if you report them Microsoft will get a a crisis center involved. https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/staysafe#topic14

So instead of trying to get this kid help I am supposed to block them and file a complaint, to which I have no timeline as to when it will be checked? You people are out of your damn minds. I may as well tell him he is correct that no one cares. Unbelievable.

This is not okay in the first place.
Do you know who the kid is or do you know his parents?

What I would do is, inform his parents (if know)

I don't know if Microsoft can help, but what you can do is inform some social workers.

  I do not know the kid personally. I have no idea where he is located. All I know is he is in the US. Microsoft would have this information and either give it to me or the police in his area. I have taken over the chat on the xbox app on my phone. My daughter is only 11- she doesn't need this. It's my gamertag. I watch everything she does, and this is how I found out- I monitor all her chats. I need to get this kid some help now, not later

You can contact support through http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you don't see the options to request a call or chat with them, choose a different category/topic. You may also want to try contacting the police yourself.

I have been trying every option I can, to no avail. I cannot contact the police because I don't know this kid's location. I have been on xbl since beta and I have to say their service has really degraded.

Have they sent a message stating such? If so highlight the message and select the option to report, select this message is inappropriate, offensive etc.select something else and select self-harm or suicide.

I'm also parrent, but not living in the U.S.

Hopefull they can help you.

Thank you. I found an option that gave me the web chat option. They keep telling me I need to verify the kid's account, which of course I can't, but finally found an option to get a call back- of course it is telling me there is a 15 minute wait, but we will see what happens. This whole process is appalling.
