Hi, is your Netgear set to broadcast at 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz only,  the 360S can only talk to 2.4Ghz networks

I used to be able to connect when I had DSL internet and my ISP was AT&T.  Now that I got the faster cable internet and my ISP is Charter my xbox will not detect my network.  I also have my phones on VOIP and not sure if that has something to do with it.

Please ensure you are using WPA2-PSK(AES) not TKIP if that does not help try the other tips here:- www.unofficialguidetolive.co.uk/.../114-troubleshooting-and-improving-wireless especially the one about (as a test) turning off all wireless security to see if you can connect then. Please let us know how it goes and if it still fails with no security configure please post up the version of firmware the router is using.

Hmmm that doesn't sound too good. So it can't see any wireless networks at all? Are you in a built up area (i.e. not somewhere remote) I would expect you to be able to pick up a wireless network from somewhere (to ensure its working) even if its not your own. So your not hiding  your SSID/network name or anything on the router?

It's not picking up any wireless networks at all.  Like I said before I used to be able to get online with my DSL  but now that I have cable internet no such luck.  I am not hiding my SSID/network name or anything on the router.

Do you still have your old DSL router? Obviously you can't use it but I would be interest to see if you powered it up whether the Xbox can see it or not.  If it can the adapter is obviously working and there is some strange router issue. Do you have any other wireless clients using the router, your PC for example?

I powered up my old DSL router like you said and the xbox sees it just fine.  I have my TV and my blu-ray player and my 2 laptops all using the router just fine.

Hmmm that is very strange what is the SSID of the router in 2.4Ghz mode, is it one single word? It is Netgear by default but I assume you've changed it.
