No connection with Xbox Live

I have done everything they suggested, both on the internet as what my Xbox told me to try.
I even added the port they have told me (I believe it was 3074).
Nothing seems to work.
I had no problem with my internet yesterday.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes
Is NAT Type Open?  Moderate, I cannot get it open
Any Error Codes you encounter: It connects to everything but Xbox Live
What type of internet do you have? Cable
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? UPC
After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen? "Turn your moden off and back on blah blah" - tried that. "Restarted your modem?" - tried that. Then I get the port forwarding question, no difference.
When I run the test, the bar to Xbox Live loads for 1/3rd then stops.

I'd be happy if someone could help, it's frustrating. Thank you.

It's very frustrating. I just have to hope it suddenly works again tomorrow but I have a feeling it is not going to happen.

i think that sounds like whats happening to me but its been going on over a week and sometimes it randomly lets me on

dumdum..  i have the same problem..  was working a little bit spartically but is back to not letting me on.. I wish I knew what the problem is..

I wonder if it attributed to the older style console.. ie. white ..  no idea.. and i'm not a rep of any sort just curious i guess

My first question is why can't you open your NAT? Do you not have access to the router? Does it ever allow you to sign in to LIVE, or are you never able to make the connection?

Ok here is an update.

We've been experiencing the same thing for the past three weeks. Even when we connect our Xbox directly to our router it will disconnect. We've never had these experiences before and it's quite typical this started happening after those updates and new agreements.

This is basically what I experience; I am able to to connect to Live by only ONE game a day. Once I stop this game and put in another, I get disconnected immediately. This means if my boyfriend played some Fifa, I won't be able to play any  game online when I get home. It feels completely random but this caught my attention.

I did get my NAT Type Open now, but this did not solve my problem. It shouldn't even matter if it's open or moderate, since it's about connecting to Xbox Live at all.

I have contacted the Xbox Live Support Crew, and they told me something to try with MTU. However my router isn't the problem if it doesn't make any difference without router when I connect directly into our modem.

So, long story short:

- It randomly connects to Xbox Live

- We're usually able to play only one game a day. As long as the game runs, it's fine. Once we shut the game down, it disconnects. It doesn't reconnect after rebooting, unplugging cables etc. The next day we have to cross fingers again, hoping.

- It is not my Wireless Router

- Typically this started when an update + agreement came out. Friends started experiencing similar problems.

- It's starting to **** me off. I just payed last month for another year, so I hope this can be solved soon because I'm not exactly enjoying this experience.
