I have been connecting to Xbox Live for I think 3 or 4 years now with no problems. Nothing has changed recently, but I tried to log on this weekend and two things were happening.
1) my xbox seems to be having a problem recognizing my wireless adapter. When I went to first test the connection, it said I need to have the wireless adapter plugged in, when I checked, it was plugged in. So I unplugged and plugged back in and then the xbox recognized it. I had to reset the network settings but after that it did see my wireless network.
However, when I turned it off and came back later, it did not recognize the wireless adapter again and I had to repeat the procedure.
Is there a chance the wireless adapter has gone bad or something in the xbox?
2) While I did get it to see my wireless network, and it did say it found the internet, it would not connect to xbox live. The odd thing is, nothing has changed on my network and I have been connecting fine for some time now.
I have been using the troubleshooting steps in the forums, but nothing has helped yet.
