No 3D Blu Ray Support - Does anyone else care?

I was very disappointed to learn that my PS3 won't be going anywhere anytime soon as it will be the only blu-ray player capable of watching all my 3D movies.

I can only hope that Microsoft will respond to Sony and add support if for nothing else to add another check box in the comparison charts.

It doesnt bother me one bit. In fact, I am one of those that also isn't too thrilled about 3d and will be quite content with my 'old fashioned' non 3d tv and projector.

Neither new consoles can playback Blu-Ray 3D movies, yet! ...I'm sure this may be added at a later date.

Nope 3d failed, why would you make something that failed to catch on.

I envy the guys who don't get motion sickness watching 3D.

The first update should be interesting.

Id imagine it will get added in a future update.

Not really, 3D isn't something that has really done that well from what I've seen, so I don't see why they would focus on it.

I can see why some might think its a gimmick.  But its not going away in the movie theaters as people seem to love it there.  So why not in the home?  I have passive 3D which is where this tech should have gone in the first place...I think it would have caught on better, but that aside;  I personally love 3D movies and I truly hope support get's added.  I have a good collection of 3D movies now, and they are pretty much the only movies I actually purchase anymore.

And I posted that about Sony because I heard they day one patched support in for it.

I would like it but it's not the end of the world since my PS3 plays 3D.

Yes im very disappointed! I love the 3D blu-ray movies that i have, the depth is amazing (dont get my wrong some 3D movies are rubbish) and really does add to the movie! I traded in my PS3. Im gutted if im honest.

3D = gimmick, always has and always will
