New Xbox Initial Update Interupted

I have just set up my new Xbox One Halo 5 console and the first thing it asks me to do is run an initial system update. Ok no problem with that.

The problem is; I do not have the best internet connection/speed at the moment and it would appear that there is a defaulted "power-saving" mode which is turning my console off after about 1 hour of no interaction. This is not long enough for my update to complete and when I turn the console back on it starts from the beginning again.

Is there a way to disable this power-saving so I can at least start up my console?

Sorry to hear it.  Try disconnecting the console from the internet prior to turning it on.  From there you may be able to get into Settings and adjust the power settings.

Although it could be an issue with the console itself.  If you have the console plugged into a power bar then plug it directly into the wall.  The console has a built in surge protector so does not need to be plugged into a bar.

Sorry this didn't help.
