New Wireless Speed Wheel

I've just bought the new speed wheel and noticed that there is nowhere to plug my headset into. Can anyone tell me how I'm supposed to communicate with friends online without this facility on the wheel. Will it work if I also have the H/set plugged into a seperate controller? Obviously this defeats the object of having a wheel.

Help would be most appreciated, especially from MS support.

Thanks.

Agree. Most frustrating. Also the missing shoulder buttons (as advertised) make it tough to switch back and forth between driving and tuning adjustment in F4

Not to be a troll, but how does not having a means to chat with your friends defeat the object of having the wheel?  I would have thought the purpose of having the wheel was to more accurately simulate driving as well as giving the user the ability of precision driving.  Again, not trying to be a troll, I just do not see how it can defeat the object of owning one.

As to Lightswords, comment, I can see how that would be an issue.

To try and help you with your issue, if you have a Kinect it can act as a microphone as well.  I know I have the mic on it set by default to off, but if you have one then you set it to always be on.

I have the wireless headset, works and looks better than default wired one, is much more comfortable to wear, and being wireless it does not need to be plugged into the controller (do'oh). Must admit its a bummer not having bumper buttons. Means you have to turn off the wheel and connect another controller to use all the menus, but as the control that the wheel gives is so good I can forgive it that. I don't regret buying mine, its much more intuative than a control pad for driving games, especially for someone who was driving real cars for 30 years before even holding a control pad.

I even believe Microsoft suggest the wireless headset as the answer for your question

But again, how do you tune up the cars if you don't have the L and R buttons?
