New Hard drive isn't being recognized by 360.

So I want to upgrade my 20gb hard drive. So I bought a 60gb one, and a transfer cable, needless to say the transfer cable was junk from hong kong. I didn't know it wasn't going to work but I tried it anyways. I went out and bought a Microsoft one, but this is the least of my problems. To my 360 it doesn't exist. I can't even use it as a 16gb extra memory. To my computer is doesn't exist either. Did it go bad in just the few short minutes? Anyone know how to fix it? I have looked online through so many pages and I don't have the computer wiz to do some of the things they say to do. Is there an easy fix, can it be fixed? or...

Can Microsoft fix it? How much will it be?

Oh yeah it is the White 360.

Sorry, but there is no fix for it. It's a known issue with third party transfer cables.

Sorry. Can't help you there. It's actually considered system tampering and is against the terms of use and can't be discussed on the forums.

Are you kidding me? Same exact thing happened to me.  I bought a 60 GB hard drive, everything was looking fine.  I wanted to transfer my data fro my old 20GB to my new one so I bought a transfer cable off ebay.  I tried transferring the data and now neither hard drive will show up.  WTF
